Elena Gheorghe, is a Romanian singer born July 30, 1985. She will represent Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. Her breakthrough came in 2003, one of her most notable music singles is "Te Ador".
a nation whose fortunes have been quite mixed in recent years but make it to the final for the second consecutive year. This entry was sung quite well but not amazing. The choreography was quite a sight to see though and looked quite good on the screens. This entry might have scored point from the ex-yugoslav countries being FYR Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina amongst others.
"The Balkan Girls" is a song by Elena Gheorghe, and will be the Romanian entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. The song was selected through the Romanian national final Selectia Nationala 2009, with Gheorghe winning the contest.
