Enjoy a Summer or Winter holiday in our holiday apartment in Paphos on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus..
Our apartment in Paphos is situated in Marguerite Gardens between the
old town of Ktima and the new seaside town of Kato Paphos. Marguerite Gardens
is a very pleasant complex of apartments and houses with an attractive
swimming pool and small bar and taverna. Located on the first floor
in a small 2 storey block, the accommodation consists of a bedroom with
twin beds, bathroom with bath, shower and wc, and kitchen, dining and sitting
areas. Bars, tavernas, restaurants, nightlife and shops are close by and
the beach is just 15 minutes walk away.

Paphos on the south-western side of Cyprus is an appealing blend of old and new ranging from a wealth of ancient sites to sun-soaked beaches, good nightlife and a generous measure of local flavour. Compared to other seaside towns like Limassol, Paphos has a much slower pace of life and has always been particularly popular with visitors, many of whom are now part of the permanent 'local' population.
There is plenty to explore. For superb beaches, Coral Bay, a 25 minute drive or bus ride from Paphos ranks as one of the best in the area and a little further on is Lara Beach, a nature reserve now home for the loggerhead and greenback turtles. If you prefer, how about a round of golf at the 18 hole championships Tsada Golf Course and Secret Valley Golf Course or a picturesque drive to the unspoilt peninsula of Akamas?
Paphos is actually made up of two towns. The upper part, high on a hilltop is called Ktima; it has many interesting buildings, churches, several museums and a charming small town atmosphere with thriving local shops and simple tavernas. Down by the waterfront Kato Paphos is where most of the tourist activities take place near the picturesque harbour. Excellent tavernas, a good choice of nightlife, a lovely promenade and a whole string of famous archaeological sites all contribute to the constant bustle of Kato Paphos.
Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean, coming next after Sicily and Sardinia. Yet it never feels vast and a whole mosaic of experiences can be savoured in one day allowing visitors to combine time on the beach, time to explore inland and time to appreciate the sights. The coastline is almost 490 miles long. The northern coast is indented and mostly rocky; in the east, south and west there are sandy beaches and small sandy coves. The Troodos mountains in the south west occupy half of the island's total area. The highest point of Troodos mountain range is mount Olympus which reaches a height of 6,400 feet; it is accessible by road in summer and is covered through most of the winter with snow.
The climate is considered as one of the healthiest in the world with hot dry summers and changeable winters with occasional rainfall and very rare storms. On average the sun shines for 330 days a year. Average summer temperatures (June to September) range between 20 C to 38 C in the central plain and from 15 C to 27 C in the Troodos mountains. Winter temperatures range from 5 C to 17 C in the Central Plain.
There are 2 international airports in Cyprus, Paphos international airport
is just 9 miles from the town, Larnaka international airport is 90 miles
from Paphos.
