(18^th March) KERAVNOS Vs APOLLON 84 - 28 

WINNERS OF THE 2005 CYPRUS CUP

Another title for KERAVNOS, they had an easy night against APOLLON in Limassol were they won the 2005 Cyprus Cup. This was the 21st title of the most successful women's basketball team in Cyprus.

The game was a continues monologue of KERAVNOS and a good chance of the Coach Yiannaras to use all eleven players available for the night. KERAVNOS started the game strong and they showed that although the opponent was a young team that they would play as champions. The team played very well for all forty minutes without giving APOLLON the chance to claim any chance of winning the trophy. KERAVNOS showed once more that they are "addicted to trophies". This was the 21^st trophy of their history and showed that more will be welcome. The girls showed desire to play basketball in front of their loyal fans as well as to the other fans of basketball.

MVP of the final was voted by the federation, Georgia Nicolaou with fifteen points.

 

All eleven players used equally, played as champions and showed that KERAVNOS is a "constant factory" of young basketball players. From the eleven players used seven of them were under 18 years old !!!
