(12^th December) APOEL Vs KERAVNOS 57 - 51

An unfortunate result and probably an unexpected one. The team was defeated from APOEL away, in a game were passion and excitement was dominant. In the first half the team showed nervousness, missed easy shots and made easy turnovers.

In the second half the team played much better. In offence the team showed more concentration in their final attempt, and in defence all the girls worked together as a team. Unfortunately, at the last stages of the game were the difference was down to 3 points some mistakes caused the defeat and the chance to gain the first position in the league.

Julia Stylianidou and Pavlina Charalampidou made their first appearances with the team for the new season. Julia played for the first time (since her injury last January) and showed that she is going to help the team in the difficult road of winning both the championship and the Cyprus cup. Pavlina (return from UK for Christmas holidays) had also a good night despite returning to Cyprus early Sunday morning.
