KERAVNOS Vs AEL: 46 -
57
The season did not start ideally for the Champions.
They lost from AEL in Strovolos in the first game of the new season.
The team started the game magically. The defense
was excellent (AEL scored just 2 points in the first 5 minutes) while,
offensively the girls showed the required concentration. The team showed
that they would play equally against a team that brought three foreigner
players in their team.
Unfortunately, the team did not continue in the
same rhythm in the second and the third quarter. Offensively they missed
easy shots and defensively they lost the one thing that keeps them
unbeatable all these years, the "team spirit" that exist in the team. Of
course it is only the first game of the season and the team will play much
better in the future.
In the last quarter the team made a comeback and they
came very close in winning the game when 4 minutes before the end the
score was down to four points 45 - 49. The defense was much better and
offensively the girls played better.
All the girls that played tonight tried their best.
