Anca moved to Keravnos this year from Sporting Athens. She is a very
talented player and gives a great advantage to the team.
Anca was born in
Timisoara
(Romania) and since 1998 she is a member of the National Team of her country.
In 1998 she participated in the Qualifying Round
of the
U18 European Championship for Junior Women (averaging 11.3 points per game).
In 2000 she moved to the U20 team were she participated in the
U20 European Championship for Junior Women (averaging 9.8 ppg, 33,6 min) and
led her country to the honorary 3rd place in the Championship (in
the final game against Turkey she scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals).
In 2001 she moved to the Women's National Team and she was part of the team
in the Final Round of the
European Championship for Women 2001 competition (played 7 games
averaging 19.4 min).
In 2003 she played in the Semi-Finals of the
European Championship for Women 2003 (played 5 games and averaging
13.8ppg, 5.2 rebounds and 31.8min). In the summer of 2005 she help her country
reach the Final Round of the
European Championship for Women 2005. In the
qualifications she played in 6 games with 29.3 min and averaging 10.5
ppg and 5.8 rebounds.
Anca played for Livas Petrom Targoviste (Romania). In 2003 & 2004 she participated in the EuroCup Women (South Conference). In 2005 her team played in the qualifying round of the EuroCup Women (South Conference). She then moved to Athens and played for Sporting Athens. The team participated in the 2005 EuroLeague. Anca played 4 games, with 26.5 min and averaging 9.8 ppg and 2.8 rebounds.
